Summary from Goodreads:
The most tragic love story in history . . .
Juliet Capulet didn't take her own life. She was murdered by the person she trusted most, her new husband, Romeo Montague, a sacrifice made to ensure his own immortality. But what Romeo didn't anticipate was that Juliet would be granted eternity, as well, and would become an agent for the Ambassadors of Light. For 700 years, she's fought Romeo for the souls of true lovers, struggling to preserve romantic love and the lives of the innocent. Until the day she meets someone she's forbidden to love, and Romeo, oh Romeo, will do everything in his power to destroy that love.
"These violent delights have violent ends
And in their triumph die, like fire and powder,
Which as they kiss consume."
—Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare

Thoughts:
I've never been one to swoon over the original Shakespearean work but after reading the summary for this one, I was hooked. An alternate ending to the ultimate love story. Did I want to read it? Uh, yeah! As I was reading this I couldn't help but be hooked and entertained by the plot line, in a good way of course, that I even felt like rereading the original works. I wanted more interaction between Romeo & Juliet because uh, it's a retelling of Romeo and Juliet but there wasn't as much as I'd wanted. I mean, yeah ok, Romeo kills Juliet for immortality and she hates his guts, but I just couldn't see them apart like that. >.< I did greatly enjoy this story though and the characters and plot were rather interesting.
Characters:
Romeo and Juliet, I'm not going to say that I can recall the exact persona of them but I did enjoy how they were portrayed in this retelling. Juliet was an awesome character and I totally understood her love-hate relationship with Romeo. I mean, it's not everyday the love of your life kills you. Romeo, oh Romeo. . Mmhm, I had a love-hate relationship with him as well. I really loved his character, it added the pizazz to the novel which I greatly enjoyed! But I also pitied him. Yes, pity. If you want to know why though, you'll have to read the novel yourself. No spoilers! ^-^
Romance:
Ah, you're probably wondering whether the romance was as good as in the original work right? Well, yes, yes it was. I found it extremely endearing and just pure adorable and awesomeness. Yes, those words exist ;D But honestly, the romance was so interesting and it was intriguing to see what would happen next. I have to be honest with you though. This may be something you don't read in other reviews & it might be a spoiler, I actually haven't got a clue as to if it is or not. Oh well, still. I'll say it now: ... there's a love triangle. Now, now, don't ignore or throw this book into a trash can because of this. No, seriously. Stacey totally pulls it off. In fact, it was one of my favorite parts of this book. I can't wait to see how the romance continues on Romeo Redeemed!
Ending:
Oh the ending! Goodness, I can't wait to read the next book! I want to see how and what Romeo thinks. He's a great and creepy character. :D
